After cutting off the samples for the new coverlet project, I found a
simpler way to lash on again without having to tie everything on again
"just so." This was a very helpful video!
Here, I've added a red thread as a cutting line, as well as a stick to act as the ballast for the new tie on.
Here, I've folded the new selvedge edge over/under the stick woven into the selvedges to hold all the ends, and keep even tension.
Then I secured it with re-usable velcro zip ties.
Here's a detail shot of the velcro zip tie attachment point.
No bulky knots!
This seems to be working out fairly well -- so far!
Now I can actually start weaving this coverlet for real!
