My New Mittens

At Quilt Camp this past weekend, one of my projects was to make a pair of toasty, warm mittens from an felted, shrunken too-small sweater.

These mittens look like they belong in a Jan Brett book! I love them!

Here's the sweater-jacket after I cannibalized the sleeves for my new mittens. I could still get a few more out of this jacket.

Did you use a pattern for this or just your hand? I love these and have many felted wool sweaters. I would love to make some of these for myself and my grandchildren. Thanks. Emily

Emily B--
I did use a very basic 3-piece pattern from Hancock (I think). But you could very easily make your own pattern by tracing your hand. Best Wishes! Michele at Sweet Leaf
